NSW: Wind farm precincts blow into NSW

SYDNEY, Feb 27 AAP - The NSW government has earmarked five renewable energy precincts
throughout NSW as sites for future wind power projects in the hope of creating additional
jobs in regional areas.

Premier Nathan Rees said the NSW-ACT cross-border region, central tablelands, New England,
Upper Hunter and south coast had the greatest potential for generating wind power.

Planning for wind farm developments in these areas would be streamlined to allow for
quicker approvals with the aim of unlocking investment …
